01 INTRODUCTION
Named as 'A Long Journey', the pavilion designed in UTM for Luis Barragán provided a one-way circulation (from public to private) starting from exhibition space after going through a welcoming entrance, followed by lookout spot on the top, and finally a long staircase that lead to the meditation space. Water element is designed at the entrance to welcome people while at meditation space to provide soothing effect.
The site is located in UTM, which is an empty land right beside the river that connects to Tasik Ilmu. The site is right opposite to the Pusat Kesihatan UTM.

LUIS BARRAGÁN
Luis Barragán is a formally trained engineer and self-trained architect. He is known for his emphasis on color, light, shadow, form and texture. Some of his famous works includes Torres de Satélite, Casa Estudio Luis Barragán, Cuadra San Cristóbal and so on.
